Poly-V pulleys

Poly-V pulleys are pulleys with multiple and narrow V-grooves. The groove depths are shallower compared to other V-belt pulleys. In these pulleys, a single belt is used for each groove, which applies an equal tension force to each groove. As a result, there are efficiency losses ranging from 2% to 5%. However, these losses contribute to extending the lifespan of both the belt and the pulley. The grip strength is strong, and there is minimal slippage due to the belt's contact with the entire surface of the Poly-V pulley. Poly-V pulleys have shallow depths, allowing them to be manufactured in small diameters. This feature enables more efficient operation of the pulleys and allows for high torque to be achieved in smaller diameters. Poly-V pulleys are categorized into different types such as PH, PJ, PK, PL, PM based on the power they transmit and the tooth profile, ranging from thin to thick teeth.
